Hrm. About that flash mob, you guys. I am feeling KIND OF ambivalent (read: lazy). Here are some things currently troubling me:
1. I have started to learn the choreography (a little late on the uptake here) and SURPRISE! It turns out I am super white and have only 2 percent rhythm.
2. It requires going to Gasworks tomorrow and then TACOMA (shudder) the day after. That requires a lot of wallowing in traffic.
3. Ok that’s it, I’m just being a pansy. But it IS kind of eating away at my weekend. But, some concerns re: my laziness: the flash mob thing IS on my list. Also, it’s unlikely that I’m going to suddenly acquire MORE rhythm in the next ten years. Also, what if the flash mob fad wears off (probable)? What if this is my big chance to cross it off the list?
But of course…what if it sucks?
So, what do you guys think? At the moment, I’m thinking I’ll stop being a huge baby and at least going to the rehearsal tomorrow. And then if it sucks, I’ll just bail?
I think your suggested plan to check out the rehearsal and then evaluate is definitely the way to go. Worst case it sucks but you still get a fun trip to gasworks! Best case is that it’s totally awesome, you can’t wait for th real thing, and you still get a fun trip to gasworks! And even if you don’t go to Tacoma, might be fun anyway to try your dancing skills with a big group of people. Good luck! xxxx
HAHAHAHAHAH. My dancing “skills”. Did you miss the bullet point about 2 percent rhythm?
Am I too late? I don’t know when this is meant to be happening. . .
Stop being a fricking whiney assed lazy person and go do something awesome that you know you’ll love and only regret if you don’t.
I have spoken.
